St. Mary Residency Programs

Charmaine ChanWelcome! In 2016, St. Mary Medical Center started an Internal Medicine Residency Program to train the next generation of physicians for Bucks County, Pennsylvania and the surrounding greater Philadelphia region. We received Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accreditation for our Internal Medicine Residency Program and accepted our first class of residents in 2018.

In 2019, we also accepted our first class of pharmacy residents under the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP).

St. Mary Medical Center has been a recipient of the U.S. News and World Report’s Best Hospitals recognition for three consecutive years with enthusiastic faculty who are dedicated to providing excellent clinical mentorship and training to future residents in a supportive environment. Under the guidance of our knowledgeable faculty, medical students and residents will learn the latest in medical treatments, train on the most sophisticated medical technology, and participate in a wide array of academic experiences.

As of July 1, 2019, St. Mary has become part of the Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic region that includes: Mercy Catholic Medical Center Mercy Fitzgerald Campus, Mercy Catholic Medical Center Mercy Philadelphia Campus, Nazareth Hospital and St. Francis Healthcare in Wilmington, DE. With this new commitment, St. Mary has additional opportunities to innovate new partnerships and projects, especially within the Graduate Medical Education (GME) community. The most exciting new project will be an upcoming Family Medicine Residency at Nazareth Hospital.

With our serious commitment to training the next generation of medical providers, St. Mary Medical Center will continue to build our GME program. If you are looking for a training program with a mission to care for patients, engage colleagues, maintain a culture of safety, use a core set of values which include reverence, justice, stewardship, integrity and commitment to those who are poor, St. Mary Medical Center is the place for you. Please be sure to check back on this website for future updates regarding our progress.

We look forward to meeting you and having you join our St. Mary family!
