Below is a snapshot of the curriculum for the General Surgery Residency program at Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic/St. Mary Medical Center. PGY refers to “Post-Graduate Year.”

PGY-1

6 months General Surgery

Our residents also spend time in the outpatient endoscopy suite to perform endoscopies. In addition, conferences are designed to provide didactic information and to review patient care. The Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic/SMMC schedule includes weekly lecture series based on the SCORE curriculum, Morbidity and Mortality (M&M) Conference, Surgery Journal Club, Skills Labs.
