Welcome to the Internal Medicine rotation at St. Mary Medical Center! We invite you to explore opportunities in rotating in our department of internal medicine and its subspecialties. This rotation is designed to give you valuable exposure to the principles, workflow, and distinctive approach of an internal medicine physician. Students will work alongside dedicated faculty and residents, gaining hands-on experience with a diverse patient population. With a strong focus on teaching and mentorship, St. Mary Medical Center is committed to helping medical students build a solid foundation for their future careers in medicine.

Students can apply to rotate for a two week or a four-week rotation in general inpatient medicine, sub-internship in internal medicine, ICU (4th years), cardiology, pulmonology, infectious disease, nephrology, hematology/oncology and gastroenterology.

Students will participate in a separate resident/faculty led student morning report and a management conference once a week as well. Students will be expected to participate in morning reports/noon didactics and simulation labs.

Dr. Samuel Arcieri, core faculty of internal medicine, will be serving as your clerkship director at St. Mary. He will oversee your education and address any concerns that you may have during rotation.
