Cancellation policy

Once your assignment has been confirmed via e-mail, you are encouraged to complete the rotation as we will close out that rotation to other learners. We ask that you notify us in a timely manner so that we can offer that rotation to another applicant.

If you wish to change your rotation dates after they have been confirmed by the Observership Coordinator, you will need to submit a new application for the requested dates.

Termination policy

An Observer’s rotation may be canceled at any time if the Observer’s performance jeopardizes patient safety, violates program policies, or fails to meet the objectives of the educational experience. 

Non-discrimination policy

Reference letters

A candidate may request letters of reference from the attending physicians with whom they completed the rotation. It is the candidates' responsibility to obtain such a letter. It is not the responsibility of the committee or any administrative staff to obtain the letter for you. LORs are not guaranteed.

Acceptance of an individual to the Observership Program does not constitute a commitment by the sponsoring Residency program or the Department of Medicine to extend an interview or accept the individual for residency training in the Department of Medicine or any residency or fellowship program at Trinity Health.
