Regional health leaders gather at Holy Cross Hospital for timely healthcare conversation

NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa. (Oct. 16, 2026) – Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic hosted its annual board and leadership retreat at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, Md, on Oct. 14, 2026. The retreat welcomed health care leaders from across the region for a panel discussion focused on the opportunities and challenges shaping the future of care delivery in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware.
The discussion featured Nicole Stallings, president and CEO of the Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania; Melony Griffith, president and CEO of the Maryland Hospital Association; and Brian Frazee, president and CEO of the Delaware Healthcare Association. The panel was moderated by Matthew Wright, regional executive of the American Hospital Association.
Panelists shared perspectives on key issues affecting hospitals and health systems, including evolving state policy priorities, reimbursement trends, the impact of federal legislation, workforce challenges, and strategies to ensure continued access to high-quality care.
“Our hospitals face many of the same pressures, but the policy and payment landscape differs in each state,” said Andre Boyd Sr., FACHE, regional president and CEO of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic. “Hearing from these leaders helps us better understand the challenges and opportunities ahead in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Delaware, and how we can work together to ensure patients continue to receive the care they need.”
The discussion reinforced the importance of collaboration among hospitals, health systems, and policymakers to strengthen the health of the communities.
