(Sept. 17, 2026) – Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic celebrated the opening of its new primary care facility in Springfield, Pa., with a ribbon-cutting event today. This occasion marked an important step in expanding access to essential health care services for Delaware County residents.

Located at 905 W. Sproul Road, the new 5,285-square-foot practice features 15 exam rooms. Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic Medical Group’s Primary Care Springfield offers primary care services as well as general, breast and vascular surgery services, providing patients with convenient access to a broad range of outpatient care.

The ceremony brought together Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic senior leaders, providers and staff as well as local elected leaders to introduce the new space and celebrate the organization’s continued investment in community-based care.

“Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic is committed to providing timely, high-quality, community-based care in Delaware County,” said Sharon Carney, MD, chief clinical officer at Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, during opening remarks. “As demand for primary care continues to grow, this new practice helps ensure patients can receive the care they need when and where they need it.”

Remarks were also delivered by Joseph Teel, MD, president of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic Medical Group; Cheryl A. Jackson, MD, medical director of primary care and regional medical director of Quality Health Alliance; Trish McFarland, president of the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce; State Sen. Timothy P. Kearney; State Rep. Jennifer M. O’Mara; and Richard R. Womack, chair of Delaware County Council.

Before the ceremonial ribbon cutting, Edward Lis, mission leader for Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, and Rev. Msgr. George A. Majoros, dean of Eastern Delaware County for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, offered a blessing for the new practice, its providers and the patients it will serve. The ribbon was then cut by Namir B. Kosa, MD, internist at Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic.

After the ceremony, guests stayed to tour the new facility, take photos and enjoy light refreshments.
