The Healthy Village at Saint Francis Hospital welcomes new partner, YWCA Delaware

Wilmington, Del. - (August 20, 2025) - The Healthy Village® at Saint Francis Hospital is pleased to announce its newest partner organization, YWCA Delaware. YWCA Delaware programs will be on-site at the hospital beginning on Monday, Aug. 25, 2025.

For over 130 years, YWCA Delaware has worked to empower women and communities through programs that promote housing stability, health and safety and economic advancement for individuals and families.

“This opportunity reflects YWCA Delaware and Saint Francis Hospital’s shared century-long commitment to removing barriers to care and strengthening the community," said Melissa Gonville, CEO of YWCA Delaware. “By creating custom wrap-around service plans for each client, we address the crises people experience, such as lack of affordable housing, inconsistent employment, or unhealthy relationships. Our aim is to expand access to essential resources and tackle the root causes of personal hardships.

With a strong focus on providing pathways from crisis to self-sufficiency, patients and visitors at The Healthy Village at Saint Francis Hospital will have access to a wide range of services from YWCA including: 24/7 Sexual Assault Response Center (SARC) support, financial and career counseling, assistance with navigating state benefits, rent and utility benefits assistance, emergency housing and access to essential everyday items such as food, baby supplies, medical equipment and hygiene products through the Health Equity Center.
