Namir KosaNamir Kosa, MD, is an internal medicine physician at Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic Primary Care Providence with more than 50 years of clinical experience. He specializes in hypertension, COPD and respiratory diseases, and the diagnosis and treatment of complex infections. Throughout his career, Dr. Kosa has remained dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered primary care.

His approach to care is rooted in a genuine desire to serve others, qualities he traces back to the person who inspired him the most.

“My greatest inspiration in medicine has always been my father,” Dr. Kosa says. “His compassion, humility and dedication to serving others are the values that shaped my path and continue to guide how I care for my patients.”

Dr. Kosa has been a part of the Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital and Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic team for more than 25 years, beginning as a medical resident and later serving as chief resident before becoming an attending physician. During that time, he has developed a deep connection with the organization and the people who work there. He often describes Mercy Fitzgerald as a welcoming and collaborative environment that has supported him throughout every stage of his career. 

“The environment, the talented medical staff and the people I have worked with over the years have made this a wonderful place to practice medicine,” he describes. “It truly feels like a second home.
