At the heart of our Saint Francis Family Medicine practice is Halley Hunt, MD, a Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic primary care physician whose dedication to medicine is deeply rooted in compassion, advocacy and a commitment to equity.
Specializing in family medicine, well childcare and prenatal care, Dr. Hunt brings a holistic approach to every patient’s interaction, one that reflects both clinical excellence and a broader mission to serve her community.
Dr. Hunt’s passion for family medicine is grounded in a broader vision of care.
“Earning my master's degree in bioethics taught me to see medicine as a tool for social justice,” Dr. Hunt shares. “I chose family medicine because it allows me to care for individual patients and the broader community, therefore improving lives and advocating for those who are most vulnerable.”
Her commitment to social justice is more than a guiding principle; it’s a daily practice that informs how she shows up for her patients and community. “I feel lucky to be able to impact people's lives positively, even in a time when many things are challenging politically,” Dr. Hunt says. “I hope my specialty will continue to advocate for equity and social justice.”
Dr. Hunt loves working at Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic because she can live out her mission every day—blending clinical care, education and advocacy in meaningful ways.
“What I love most about THMA is the chance to make a difference in so many ways,” Dr. Hunt says. “I get to teach residents, care for patients in clinic, work with children, and support families through childbirth. Each day brings new experiences and opportunities to grow.”
