Emergency Medicine Curriculum

Each academic year is broken down into 13 four-week blocks. The majority of clinical time will be spent at Nazareth Hospital. Trauma, OB, and Pediatrics will be rotations done at our secondary sites. Additionally, each resident will have four weeks of vacation each academic year.

Orientation

Orientation for Emergency Medicine Residents includes 2 weeks of introductory training followed by 2 weeks of training shifts. Interns will become certified in ATLS and PALS during orientation.

Orientation provides Interns with ample introductory to Nazareth Hospital, training simulation, procedures, didactics and approaches to patient care.

Interns are encouraged to get to know your fellow residents and build a strong support network.
