All my other doctors are in a different medical system (Penn). I refuse that system’s endocrinologists because Dr. Loftus is straightforward, compassionate, and very clear regarding expectations. Furthermore, some of my Penn doctors know Dr. Loftus by reputation and have said, “You’re with one of the best!” She certainly is. I credit her for helping me see how I can take care myself as a diabetic so I can enjoy my life.

Dr. Loftus is excellent. I just wish that scheduling appointments with her wasn't so challenging. I scheduled my appointment for Nov 24 in May. In July, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and by the time we got to Nov, I was scheduled for radiation therapy at a time that conflicted with my appointment to see Dr. Loftus. Since completing my radiation on schedule was my priority, I called to see if I could swap my appointment time .... all I needed was to move it 45 minutes earlier or later .... and was told, nope. My only option was to reschedule for the end of January. Fortunately, I asked the radiation oncologist if there was flexibility on her end and they happily moved my appointment time on that end. It just seems like they could have done something to help me if they really cared about me.

Dr. Lotus was very professional had a wonderful bedside manner she was sweet kind generous she listened to what I said, she took the time to explain to me what was going on with my health and I would definitely recommend anyone to her as a matter of fact I have two friends that already go to her and they speak very highly of the doctor. The staff was exceptional they were all kind generous if I had a question they were willing to answer it even when I call thank you all to the staff.
Dr. Loftus was somewhat rude. She is an endocrinologist. I told the doctor that I was wanting to know about my A1C level. She stated that she does not test A1C levels "for fun". The doctor's response was completely inappropriate. At the present time she is not treating me for diabetes But she should have responded to my concerns about my A1C level.

She is very knowledgeable she asked a lot of good questions and encouraged me to ask questions she gave me important information that I have never gotten from another provider. She treated the whole person and was very kind to me I'm legally blind and she took that into consideration with everything that she did for me.
