The Healthy Village welcomes Amanecer Counseling and Resource Center

Wilmington, Del. — (June 19, 2025) — The Healthy Village® at Saint Francis Hospital is pleased to announce its newest partner organization, Amanecer Counseling and Resource Center. Amanecer is a one-stop center offering behavioral health referrals and community resources for individuals and their families.

With a commitment to the underserved Latino community in inner-city Wilmington, Amanecer will offer legal advocacy coordination in addition to behavioral health and community resources. Patients and visitors of The Healthy Village at Saint Francis Hospital can now receive assistance with translation and filing of legal documents, notary services and basic needs including food, housing and other essential resources.  

"We are very excited to welcome Amanecer to The Healthy Village at Saint Francis," says Lillian Schonewolf, vice president of Community Health and Well-Being and executive director of The Healthy Village at Saint Francis Hospital. "The services they provide to the Latino community of Wilmington will be beneficial to current patients of the hospital and the community at large."

Amanecer Counseling and Resource Center officially opens its doors on Monday, June 23, 2025, at Saint Francis Hospital. Offices are located in Suites 206 and 207 through the main hospital lobby. Services are available on Mondays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Appointments can be made by calling 302-576-4136.
