LSA check presentationNEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa. (Oct. 12, 2026) – Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic’s St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne has received funding through Pennsylvania’s Local Share Account (LSA) program, administered by the Commonwealth Financing Authority, to support the replacement of approximately 41 hospital beds.

The investment will help modernize patient care environments across the hospital by providing advanced bed technology designed to enhance patient safety, comfort, mobility and overall care experience. Features of newer hospital beds can help reduce fall risk as well as support patient movement and recovery during hospitalization.

On Oct. 1, 2026, state Sen. Frank A. Farry, who represents Pennsylvania’s 6th District, and state Rep. Joe Hogan, who represents Pennsylvania’s 142nd District, presented a commemorative check to Gerald Wydro, MD, chief medical officer for Nazareth Hospital and St. Mary Medical Center; Dia Williams Adams, MPA, CFRE, CAP, chief development officer at Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic; Suzette Cunicelli, vice president of operations for Nazareth Hospital and St. Mary Medical Center; and Cathy Cardillo, regional director of advocacy at Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic.

“The support provided through the Pennsylvania Local Share Account program is a meaningful investment in our patients and our community,” said Wydro. “We are grateful to State Sen. Frank Farry for championing this funding and for his ongoing commitment to strengthening healthcare resources throughout Bucks County.”

The funding is part of a broader $7.8 million Local Share Account investment supporting municipal, public safety, infrastructure and community improvement projects throughout lower Bucks County, including Bensalem, Warminster, Lower Southampton, Upper Southampton, Middletown Township, Penndel, Langhorne, Ivyland, Warwick Township and Warrington Township.

At St. Mary Medical Center, the grant will support continued efforts to invest in modern technology and facilities that improve the patient experience and help meet the evolving healthcare needs of the community.
