Philadelphia, Pa. — (August 11, 2025) — Nazareth Hospital recently presented a DAISY® Award to Florry Brun, RN, a nurse with the neuroscience department. Brun was nominated for this prestigious award by a patient for providing extraordinary and compassionate care.
“Florry made sure that I was comfortable; constantly checking in on me,” says the nominating patient. “She is a ray of sunshine and a bonus to this nursing team. She made me feel like she really cared about me and my well-being.”
The DAISY Award is a program that recognizes excellence in nursing. It was created by The DAISY Foundation to highlight the clinical skills, extraordinary passion and care exemplified by nurses every day. Award recipients consistently demonstrate each of the award’s criteria of Dedicated, Autonomous, Innovative, Selfless and Extraordinary.
Brun joined Nazareth Hospital in July 2021. She is a kind and caring nurse who is always attentive to her patients’ needs.
Brun’s manager, Brittany Kessler, RN, says that Brun is a dedicated colleague and deserving recipient of this award. “Flory’s skill, empathy and dedication help make her an outstanding nurse,” says Kessler. “She is an invaluable member of our team and a compassionate care provider for those we serve.”
