Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic at Yardley, located at 657 Heacock Road, is now a one-stop spot for women’s health. Since the outpatient center’s grand opening in May 2025, it has expanded its offerings beyond primary care to include obstetrics, gynecology and, most recently, breast surgery.
Kristin Krupa, MD, a breast surgeon at Complete Breast Care Langhorne, began seeing patients at the Yardley office in September. Splitting her time between the two locations, she explains, helps her reach more individuals who are seeking care.
“Our main office is at St. Mary Medical Center. But if for some reason that doesn’t work for you due to travel, traffic, etc., we want to provide another option to women for breast care,” says Dr. Krupa.
This one-stop model for women’s health is beneficial for patients because of its convenience. In a single day, a patient can see their primary care provider, ob/gyn and, if they have a breast concern, Dr. Krupa for an evaluation.
“We know that patients have other things going on in their lives, so having a more efficient process and getting to meet all of their doctors at the same place, back-to-back, is helpful,” says Dr. Krupa.
In fact, this efficiency has the potential to assist in early breast cancer detection. If a primary care provider believes a patient could be high-risk based on family history, they can see Dr. Krupa directly after their PCP appointment for a formal evaluation. Previously, that evaluation may have been delayed if the patient has a busy schedule and little time to commute to Langhorne for a second appointment on a different day.
“It’s a more streamlined process. They can see their PCP at 10 a.m. for an annual exam, then they can see me at 11 a.m. for a new patient appointment, during which I can do a breast cancer risk assessment,” says Dr. Krupa. “If they are high-risk for breast cancer and we start doing extra screenings, it could lead to an earlier diagnosis.”
At Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic at Yardley, Dr. Krupa provides screenings to patients who have a family history of breast cancer but are unsure if they are high-risk themselves. She also sees patients who already know they’re high-risk, for whom she offers examinations, screenings and other recommendations. Additionally, patients can receive genetic testing and counseling.
Currently, this location doesn’t conduct surgical procedures. Patients with a breast abscess or infection should go to the main office in Langhorne.
