Colleagues and community members gathered on Friday, May 9, for the grand opening of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic at Yardley. Located at 657 Heacock Road, this outpatient center specializes in primary care, in addition to a growing list of specialty services.
“We will be providing ob/gyn care and, in the near future, we will have other specialties coming through this center to provide a comprehensive approach to the care we deliver,” says William Melms, MD, president of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic Medical Group, during the ceremony. “We will have breast surgery, we’ll have cardiology and others as well.”
The center will also offer urology, imaging services and more.
When a patient walks into Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic at Yardley, they’re greeted by a waiting area and self-check-in kiosks. Once their name is called, they’re taken to see their primary care physician in a spacious exam room. The outpatient center is equipped with a total of 16 rooms, which aims to keep wait times low.
“We are here to serve the community. Opening this practice means that we’re breaking through the walls of the hospital, making sure we’re doing outreach and bringing care directly to the community that needs it.” — Michael Magro, MD
The goal of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic at Yardley is to bring a wide range of health care services to patients beyond the traditional hospital setting.
“While I’m the president of St. Mary Medical Center, Trinity Health is certainly more than the walls of the hospital. We are here to serve the community,” says Michael Magro, DO. “Opening this practice means that we’re breaking through the walls of the hospital, making sure we’re doing outreach and bringing care directly to the community that needs it.”
Friday’s ceremony included a prayer by Chaplain Sunny Matthew and a blessing of the space by Chaplain Allan Robinson.
