Take advantage of convenient online scheduling with MyChart

We’ve all experienced the frustration of waiting on hold to schedule an appointment at a busy doctor’s office. But with Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic’s convenient MyChart platform, you don’t have to wait. Instead, making an appointment with your provider is easy, fast and convenient.
How to get started
There are a few different ways to access the MyChart online scheduling platform. The easiest is through the Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic homepage. A banner at the top of that site will take you to a landing page that lists all providers with online scheduling availability.
“Online scheduling is available for all of our primary care providers and ob/gyns as well,” says Amy Gravelle, interim VP of Operations for the Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic Medical Group. “We have a few specialists that use the function as well, but it is really geared toward those providers who are easier to schedule with.”
Mammograms can also be scheduled online through the same landing page. The direct link is trinityhealthma.org/scheduling.
Another way to schedule online is by using the “Find a Doctor” function, also on the Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic homepage. Simply click the link at the top of the page, type the provider’s name in the search box and click the “Schedule Appointment” link below their search result.
Finally, anyone looking to access the MyChart platform directly without searching for a provider can do so by clicking the “MyChart Patient Portal” link at the top right of the Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic homepage.
Using MyChart and Fast Pass
You don’t need a MyChart account to use the online scheduling option, Gravelle says. “You will get the option to create an account, but you can still schedule an appointment without logging in.”
That said, creating an account does have the benefit of making future appointments easier to schedule because the platform will already remember your information.
For those who need help logging in, who encounter other problems or have questions about using MyChart, a 24/7 helpline is available at 215-918-9006.
Another convenient option for MyChart account holders is the Fast Pass feature. “Fast Pass is a platform that works in the background of MyChart,” Gravelle explains. “When you schedule an appointment that is further in the future, MyChart will ask if you want to be put on a waitlist for an earlier appointment. Fast Pass takes your appointment information—the provider and type of appointment—and checks daily to see if something is available sooner.”
If there is, you’ll receive an alert asking if you’d like to accept the new appointment option. The provider’s office is automatically notified if you accept the new appointment, and your original appointment will stand if you don’t.
