Mercy Philadelphia Celebrates 100th Anniversary with Gala
Nearly 400 guests attended the 100th Anniversary Gala in March
The Gala, held at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, celebrated 100 years of service to the West and Southwest Philadelphia communities.
Emceed by retired 6ABC Action News Anchor Lisa Thomas-Laury, the black-tie event highlighted the hospital’s growth and success in providing much-needed services to the communities it serves.
Father Peter Clark, SJ, PhD, Bioethicist for Mercy, and James R. Roberts, MD, FACMT, FACEP, FAAEM, CMRO, Chair of the Mercy Philadelphia Institutional Review Board, were honored for their achievements in improving healthcare. Additionally, both C. Jules Rominger, MD, Radiation Oncologist at Mercy Philadelphia, and Clifford E. Schott Jr., MD, FACR, a former Mercy Philadelphia clinical researcher, received awards for their decades of service to the hospital.
Executive Director Susan Cusack presented Senior Director of Operations Steve King with a surprise recognition for his long service and dedication to the West Philadelphia community.
