Mercy Home Health—a mission built on compassion and community spirit

bp in homeMercy Home Health has administered comprehensive health care services to residents of the Philadelphia five-county area for more than 100 years—all within the comfort and privacy of the patient’s home.

While compassionate, one-on-one care remains the program’s hallmark, Mercy Home Health has also received prestigious recognition. Recently the program was named “Best of Home Health Care 2011” in Montgomery County as part of the The Times Herald’s annual ‘Best Of’ contest. “We are sincerely grateful for this recognition from the Montgomery County community. It’s a distinction that inspires us to raise the bar even higher and deepen our commitment to providing patients and communities with the absolute best in quality health care,” says Ruth Martynowicz, RN, vice president of operations, Mercy Home Health.

In addition, Mercy Home Health maintains a hospital readmission rate that is consistently lower than national and state averages. A team of more than 200 compassionate, skilled nurses—who average more than 15 years of experience each—work alongside skilled therapists and other clinicians to help patients avoid the health complications that can lead back to the hospital, and to recover from injury or surgery with the best possible outcomes.

Mercy Home Health cares for more than 30,000 patients in Philadelphia’s five-county area each year.
