Ngoc TranNazareth Hospital has been granted a pre-candidate status for the Pharmacy Residency Program by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). Nazareth Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, has served Northeast Philadelphia and the surrounding region for more than 75 years. It is 20 minutes north of Center City Philadelphia and less than 20 minutes south of many large suburban shopping areas. At this strategic location, Nazareth Hospital serves both urban and suburban populations.

Nazareth Hospital’s 205 acute and 28 skilled beds accommodate over 8,000 admissions yearly. The Emergency Department serves over 51,000 patients each year. Nazareth Hospital specializes in Stroke, Heart Failure, Orthopedics, and Cardiovascular Care with PCI accreditation. Acute rehabilitation, transitional care and hospice services are also located on the premises. Nazareth serves a diverse population of all ages with varied economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds. This guarantees trainees exposure to a wide range of health issues.

Nazareth Hospital Pharmacy Residency Program trains our residents to assume positions as clinical pharmacists, to be eligible for post-graduate year two (PGY-2) training, and to pursue board certification. Residents will also be continually monitored for practice-based learning and professionalism. The faculty will take a team approach at correcting any resident with critical deficiencies to help guarantee their success in the program.
