Why did you choose your specialty?

Mentors I met along the way in medical school and training; wealth of clinical trial data and knowledge; access to cutting edge technology; and the opportunity to treat the sickest patients with the greatest potential impact for meaningful recovery.

What is your favorite part of being a healthcare provider?

Receiving the appreciation from patients; working as a team with my cath lab staff; and getting to trial new cutting edge cath lab technology.

What is your least favorite part of being a healthcare provider?

Paperwork, protocols and insurance company hurdles/prior-authorizations.

What is the most important piece of advice you can give your patients?

Take ownership and responsibility of your health; keep track of your medications, tests, records; and be your own advocate.

If you can tell your current or future patients one thing about you, your practice, or your field, what would it be?

I (we) will be better each day and know more than we did the days, weeks, months and years before.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be and how would you use it?

The ability to freeze time.

If you could have dinner with one person dead or alive, who would it be?

Jesus Christ

How do you like to unwind after a long day?

Have dinner at home with my family and then after putting the kids to bed enjoying an adult beverage and watching Philadelphia sports.

What was the last movie you saw in the theater?

Star Wars: The Last Jedi

What was the last book you read (for pleasure)?

Can’t even remember. I usually just read medical, sports and news information.

Best concert ever?

Dave Matthews Band in Central Park, New York.

If you could time travel, when and where would you go?

Time and site of Jesus Christ on Earth.

If you were stranded on a desert island, what three items would you want to have with you?

A boat, an iPhone and a solar powered charger.
