On November 19, CHE Trinity announced its new name and brand identity—Trinity Health. As the second-largest Catholic healthcare system in the nation, the System-level Board of Directors decided that Trinity Health was the best name because it reflects our mission, our Catholic identity and is memorable and meaningful.
“This is a historic time for Trinity Health and Mercy is proud to be a part of it,” said Susan Croushore, president and CEO, Mercy. “Our parent organization has a new vision and strategy centered on becoming a People-Centered Health System and this is what will guide us as part of the new Trinity Health. Together with our shared Mission, we will focus our efforts to achieve the highest levels of excellence in the patient experience and help ensure our local success in a fast-changing environment.”
Doing business as CHE Trinity Health since May 2013, the System’s strengths, economies of scale and size has made it easier for regional health ministries, like Mercy, to reduce costs, improve care and succeed in meeting the industry’s changing demands.
Conversely, Mercy contributes to the national organization by offering our experience and expertise to other ministries and by continuing to deliver care that makes us our local community’s most trusted health partner for life.
Trinity Health’s new purple and green logo features a cross that is formed by the wings of doves—symbols of love, peace and caring. Three purple doves, reflecting the Holy Trinity, come together with a green dove, symbolizing the organization’s openness to new partners and new ideas.
