Mercy Celebrates More Than 100 Servant Leadership Certifications
CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. (August 5, 2015) - Mercy is pleased to announce that more than 100 leaders in the organization have successfully earned Servant Leadership Certification. The certification recognizes that leaders at all levels—supervisor, manager, director, or executive level—have completed the requirements set forth by Mercy and in alignment with the Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership. The inaugural ceremony recognizing these leaders was held yesterday at Mercy Fitzgerald.
“Servant Leadership is an integral part of our culture at Mercy and aligns strongly with our mission, vision and core values,” said Susan Croushore, president and CEO. “To be a servant leader requires a desire to serve others and a yearning to make a positive impact on the lives of others. Our leaders have all exhibited that desire by pursuing opportunities afforded to them through Mercy’s Servant Leadership program. I am very proud to have more than 100 leaders now officially certified in Servant Leadership.”
To qualify for Servant Leadership certification, Mercy leaders were required to complete training in Servant Leadership and Just Culture, an organizational system that balances accountability and learning. Training included online, classroom and collaborative learning components.
“At Mercy we will continue to cultivate a Servant Leadership culture across the organization as we work to serve as a compassionate and healing presence in our communities,” said Croushore.
