Mercy Philadelphia Voted ‘Most Happening Hospital’

West Philadelphia, PA (May 6, 2015): Mercy Philadelphia has once again been named the ‘Most Happening Hospital’ in the City of Philadelphia, as part of Philly Happening’s 2015 Happenings List competition.

“We are excited to reclaim the title of Most Happening Hospital and believe it is a reflection of the innovative health services that we provide in our community,” said Mercy Philadelphia Executive Director Susan Cusack. “Our team is proud to deliver high-quality healthcare that is focused on the patient and their families, while using the latest in technology and advances in medicine.”

Mercy Philadelphia first won the ‘Most Happening Hospital’ title in 2013. This year’s win is the latest in a string of recognitions and accolades for the award-winning hospital, including:

  • The Top Performer on Key Quality Measures® designation by the Joint Commission, which was jointly earned with Mercy Fitzgerald

  • A Best Hospital in the Philadelphia Metro Area by U.S. News & World Report, also along with Mercy Fitzgerald. 

  • Designation of a Primary Stroke Center by the Joint Commission

  • Designation of a Lung Cancer Screening Center and a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology

  • Get with the Guidelines® Gold Plus Achievement for Stroke Care

  • Get with the Guidelines® Gold Award for Heart Failure 

  • A Mercy Health System Performance Excellence Award for a successful medication management program.
